BR Std 2MT 2-6-0 78003 (built 12/52 at Darlington, withdrawn 12/66) heads a short train of ballast hopper wagons towards Amlwch, the terminus of the branch from Gaerwen. In the siding on the right are bromine tank wagons - evidence of the existence of the Associated Octel Company's bromine plant at Amlwch. Passenger trains still used the branch, but not for much longer - the service was withdrawn in December 1964. Goods trains continued to use the line until 1993.
