A grand mid-C18th pair - semi-detached when built apparently. The entrance and Venetian window "derives from W. & J. Halfpenny's Modern Builder's Assistant (1747)" (Image]). The parapet has clearly been rebuilt. Grade II* listed. Shops were Mind (charity) and Nevitt. The latter sold lights but its own appear to have been permanently turned off since this photo.
