Barstobrick House lies in a prominent position at the base of Barstobrick and at the end of the single track road from Upper Balannan. Barstobrick Hill and the prominent Neilson’s Monument (1928) are actually in grid Image - Nielson was the inventor of the hot blast method of smelting iron.
