Presumably a fishery pool, similar to others nearby. One is fenced off ahead and to the right. This one seems the newest by far. A large hymac excavating machine has made a real mess of this field by traversing back and forth, and apparently depositing earth from the pond or pool out across the field. Hard to walk across.
