Beyond the entrance to Clayhill Farm, Clayhill Lane is an unmetalled road leading to a ford on the River Avon which is completely unsuitable for ordinary road vehicles. The only reason to take a motor vehicle beyond here would be for access to Mill Barn (a barn conversion residence) or a handful of fields. It does make for a pleasant walk down to the river, however.
