The Grafton grab dredger Perseverance was in full cry with steam and smoke in all directions. This was being used 'in anger' as part of the restoration of the canal and I was fortunate to see it twice and get up close and personal. The dredger is now at Ellesmere Port Boat Museum but as far as I know it has never operated there.
