An example of the new style of welcome sign recently introduced on main roads crossing the city's boundaries. The previous version traded on Hull's title as UK City of Culture which dated from the start of its four-year tenure in 2017 (example here: Image ). The move to the new signs, featuring a montage of the area's landmarks, was in part prompted by the 'City of Culture' title passing to Coventry from May 2021.
