One of the problems with the new Forge Wood Crawley neighbourhood is that it is really two over-small neighbourhoods divided by Balcombe Road and the actual Forge Wood. This could be a rather feeble attempt to unite them. Alternatively it could be a recognition that people will beat the shortest way to the nearest pub eventually anyway.
