The sign was erected for the silver jubilee of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. Eyke is located close to Rendlesham Forest, hence the two types of tree. The key depicts the original key to the church which was especially made with the wards, spelling IKE. https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1928923
