Drainage channel to the west of Marr Bridge, built as part of the Anlaby and East Ella Flood Alleviation Scheme. It directs water from higher ground to the north and west into temporary storage lagoons. This aims to reduce the likelihood of a repeat of the extensive flooding in 2007, by diverting water from local drainage systems after heavy and prolonged rainfall.
