This view is looking towards Mackworth, some houses of which are visible on the left of the image. To the far right is what used to be Mackworth College Sports Centre, which has been renamed Rykneld Sports Centre since the college merged to form Derby College and the site was sold for housing. Teaching moved to a custom built city centre site which was far more accessible to the students.
