This pillar is at the Bell Lane junction on Barnsley Road in Ackworth. It has 3 iron straps at the front and 2 at the back holding the pillar onto the stepped base. Approaching the pillar the traveller has come from Sheffield and Hemsworth and is going towards Wragby and Wakefield. This is not the conventional way for legends on a milestone.
