Looking east towards Birmingham on a very dull drizzly morning. This is the Birmingham Canal Navigations New Main Line, engineered by Thomas Telford and mostly completed 1824-1827. Brindley's 1772 (lowered in 1790) old main line is at the top of the embankment on the left. Ahead is Brasshouse Lane Bridge.
