This stone is one of the 1735 Rochdale, Halifax & Ealand (Elland) turnpike stones set up in the middle to late 18C. It is on the B6113 Greetland Road 100m to the south west of Sandy Clough. At some time in its history Rochdale was ground off but it is now painted in. It is the same elegant shape as YW_ROEL11. It is Grade II listed 406383.
