St Mark's Church, built of sandstone, positively glows in the sunlight on a winter afternoon. Although it is known that there was a priest at Bilton in 1086, the current building dates from the 14th century and there are no remains of an earlier church. There was a heavy restoration in the 1870s by G F Bodley; further alterations were carried out in 1962-3. The building is now grade II* listed.
