South Harford Junior School was opened in 1956, to provide education for 7-11 year old children from Tuckswood, South Tuckswood and Eaton Rise. In 1974 it became a Middle School (ages 8 to 12). The school closed in July 2007, when the nearby Tuckswood First School was transformed into Tuckswood Primary School.
