Metal plate attached to stone post, in parish of STRATTON ON THE FOSSE (MENDIP District), Fosse Way, nr White Post Inn, Chilcompton, set into wall; Jct with B3139, on West side of road. Bath hands iron plate (terminus) Erected by the Bath turnpike trust in the 18th century. Inscription reads: THE / BATH ROADS / (Ptg hand) / TO THE / GUILDHALL / BATH / M FUR / 10 & 4 Milestone Society National ID: SO_BARA10t
