On the east side of the A629, Halifax Road, south from Keighley to Halifax. This milestone is one of the 615 set up by the family firm of Gill and Frank Stead of Mirfield for the West Riding CC in 1983/94. What would have been a 16cm deep backing stone has been replaced at some time in its history. The legend on the righthand side is KEIGHLEY 1 MILE. It was last painted in 2008.
