Opened in 1977, the dealership on Sorbie Road was originally home to A.T. Mays Motors who ran their Leyland, Austin Rover and latterly Vauxhall franchises from the site. In 1997 the business was bought by Caledonia who continued to run the Vauxhall franchise and then by Reg Vardy who took over in 1999. In 2006 Pendragon acquired the site, rebranding it as Evans Halshaw. With the rationalisation of Vauxhall and Pendragon, the decision was taken to close the site in February 2020.
