This stone set into the paving outside Elm Terrace on Bradford Road, Brighouse was at the beginning of the 21C set into a wall. The houseowners removed the wall and set this unique stone in the paving. It is about 200m south of one of the 1893/94 West Riding CC milestones. The stone is there but the metal attachment has been lost. This flat stone is likely to be from the 8 mile long Wibsey Low Moor (Bradford) and Huddersfield turnpike, first enacted in 1823.
