Maybole High Street has always been a busy place but this 1975 shot shows that traffic did keep moving. Lorries were small enough to let the traffic flow beside a row of parked vehicles. Compare this with 2019 conditions Image - it's not the volume of traffic that's causing problems now, it's the size of the vehicles.
