These newly-built houses are part of Linden Homes' 'The Spinneys' development. There is nothing specifically eastern about this street; in fact, the name derives from Harry East, a character in Thomas Hughes' 19th century novel 'Tom Brown's Schooldays' which was set at Rugby School.
