This house at number 10 Falcon Square has the appearance of a 19th century property but almost certainly has an older core. The gault brick exterior is dated 1849. The property is used as the Hedingham medical centre. Listed, grade II, with details at: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1306966 Castle Hedingham is a small village in Essex about 15 miles north west of Colchester. The village developed around the Norman castle and is home to a large number of timber framed medieval buildings. The village’s railway station which was opened in 1867, closed in 1964 and was dismantled and rebuilt in 1974 on a new site to the north west of the village by the Colne Valley Railway Preservation Society.
