The junction of A57 with the A6017 is traditionally known as Crown Point. On one corner is Hydes Brewery's Red Lion. On the opposite corner is The George Fitzpatrick Image which for a short time in the late 20th century was called the Crown Point. With the country under lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic the traffic at this normally very busy junction is presently fairly quiet.
