On 16 November 2020 the Leamington Spa Courier reported their belief that one of two new UK Covid-19 mega-labs would be built in south Leamington to carry out large-scale Covid-19 diagnostic testing. The BBC had reported on 7 December 2017 that Wolseley (owners of Plumb Centre) would close its UK HQ in Leamington and 98 UK branches within 18 months. Image
