Path through Wood off Easton Road

This wood has been planted on the site of a former spoil heap of Easton Colliery. Operating from the 1890s until 1973, based just South of here, it employed around 700 men. This path, along with a few others, is unmarked on maps. I always think that if more people knew how industrialised the countryside round here used to be then there would be less fuss made about new housing and business developments!
