The hedge is on the north-eastern side of a small field beside Leazes Lane. The barrier of the unkempt hedge is supplemented with fencing. The largest of the tree species there is surely an oak, stunted as well as distorted. The distant ground is on the east side of the Waskerley Beck where houses of the Holywood development can be seen.
