This is No. 1 mill's engine house having the tall arched window. This once contained a George Saxon inverted vertical triple expansion engine of 1000 horsepower and driving the mill by ropes from its 22' flywheel. No. 1 Mill was severely damaged by fire in 2016 (No. 2 Mill in 2009) and the site has now been cleared (the chimney was left standing and might still be there).
