At Tranmere Oil Terminal, which is connected to Stanlow Oil Refinery by a pipeline. The pier itself may be defunct. The slipway was built in 1820 for a ferry service, making it probably "the oldest surviving structure to be built into the River Mersey". Grade II listed.
