A cast metal plaque is set into a wall on the Bristol Road in Whitchurch. It may mark the line of a water supply pipe that was installed by Bristol Water Works. The pipe emanates from a tank some 400m south, close to the former Bristol and North Somerset railway line; the pipe carries on up the main A37, over the Saltwell Viaduct and on to Knowle.
