Bus stands in the pandemic, Beauchamp Road, Royal Leamington Spa

Leamington's main shopping street, the Parade, has been closed. Before the Covid-19 pandemic it was on the route of many bus services. The street could become congested, fumey, noisy and hazardous with buses, deliveries, cars and bikes. At the start of the pandemic social distancing for shoppers and waiting passengers at the many bus stops was presumably found to be unworkable. Buses have been rerouted into bus stands in Kenilworth Road and Beauchamp Road, pictured, respectively east and west of Christchurch Gardens ("Top Park"), left. It's an improvement in some ways: more space for buses and passengers; a cleaner, quieter and less crowded Parade. If only the shops were open. The buses pictured were different services to or from the University of Warwick which is on the southwest side of Coventry. These services are extraordinarily frequent. Leamington has a large student population.
