Now a house, the former Primitive Methodist chapel, number 10 Chapel Lane, was opened in 1866. The chapel closed in 1944 and became a grain store. Converted into a house circa 1980. Wicken is a small village some 10 miles north east of Cambridge and 5 miles south of Ely. There are traces of occupation from the Stone Age, Bronze Age, Roman and Anglo-Saxon periods. The village is the site of Wicken Fen National Nature Reserve.
