On Cross Green is this base and stump of a 14th century, limestone, village cross. The cross was unburied and reinstated here in 1973. Listed, grade II, with details at: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1126421 Wicken is a small village some 10 miles north east of Cambridge and 5 miles south of Ely. There are traces of occupation from the Stone Age, Bronze Age, Roman and Anglo-Saxon periods. The village is the site of Wicken Fen National Nature Reserve.
