Grade II Listed house of about 1800. Former Antelope public house. Directory listed licensees include 1855-71 Thomas Moore and his wife, 1881/2 Stephen Whittam, 1890 Charles Cox, 1895-1901 Edward Stamford, 1902 William Reynolds and 1908 Joseph Lewis Hagmaier. By 1914 Misses Ure was listed here as a private residence. Improvements to George Street included the demolition of what is now No.16. The works (first proposed in 1792) were completed in 1814 dating the current house some time after this and before 1855. In 1967 it was home to the local restaurateur and (from 1964) Vice-President of the Anglo-Danish Society, Count Ove Scheel (1894-1986).
