Newcastle Museum Store - Tennant's brewery engine

A single cylinder six-column beam engine of c1820s vintage by an unknown maker. Used at the Wellpark Brewery, Glasgow and donated by J & T Tennant in 1936. Part of the flywheel is assembled. The engine is now in the regional store at Beamish Museum, County Durham and can be seen on request.
