Hart to Haswell Walkway towards Castle Eden

The former railway closed, even to goods traffic, in 1964 following the Beeching report, and now despite going nowhere near Hart and not quite reaching Haswell, has become the traffic-free cycle route called, in contrast to that designation, The Hart to Haswell Countryside Walkway. Clearly, it is used by both walkers and cyclists whatever the nomenclature, and makes for pleasant, if monotonously level, non-motorised travel.
