The trolleybus is about to turn from Leeds Road into Town Lane on its way to Bradford city centre. However, the overhead wiring included a complete circle which would allow trolleybuses to make a U-turn when coming from either Bradford or Saltaire. Either manoeuvre would be considered ridiculous today, but they were in normal use for the odd peak time duplicate journey. Bradford trolleybus 675 was built as early as 1939, by English Electric, although like the many Bradford trolleybuses it had received a brand new body in the 1950s. This is one of a series of views featuring buses in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. http://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=2114547&displayclass=slide
