'The Buildings of Scotland' says that the head gardener's cottage has a bolection-moulded doorpiece with neo-Jacobean obelisks and console brackets flanking monograms. The initials are those of Sir William Gordon Gordon-Cumming (1848-1930) and his wife Florence Josephine Garner (1867-1922), an American cotton heiress.
