This stone is on the A932 just to the west of the A933 at Friockheim. It must have some significance as it is so large and is not a gatepost. There may be a toll house nearby but none of the cottages opposite had that name. The four metal mileposts that are still in situ along this road to Forfar were cast by G Anderson & Co of Arbroath a company which appears on the Scottish ironwork website.
