The sign show a scene of the once very famous Aldborough Fair which dates back to the days of bad King John who lost his gold in The Wash. The fair traditionally takes place on the longest day of the year, On the reverse a game of cricket is in progress on The Green. Cricket has been big in Aldborough since 1797. https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6689353 https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6689351
