Landscape formed by the enclosure of land in the late 18th and early 19th century by the Tregothnan Estate to provide smallholders for Cornish miners. Older medieval strip field landscapes around Baldhu are visible in the far distance. In the foreground is an early 19th century smallholding homestead.
