The A21 was by-passed in 2005 and this is the former A21 beyond Lamberhurst. The road still exists as a cul-de-sac up to Grantham Hall but further on, beyond Grantham Hall, it is now a narrowed track up to the northern end of the Lamberhurst By-pass - see https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6684079 As can be seen in many places the old white lines and cats' eyes are still visible. This view looks back towards Lamberhurst. See https://maps.nls.uk/geo/explore/#zoom=15&lat=51.11258&lon=0.39925&layers=11&b=1 to see how the A21 formerly passed through Lamberhurst.
