From a lane near Stone Cross, with the lane between Stone Cross and Cockingford winding between hedges. The church tower at Widecombe is in the very centre, well over 2 kilometres away in the East Webburn valley. On the left above it is Hamel Down; corresponding on the right is a ridge with four tors: Bonehill Rocks, Bell Tor, Chinkwell Tor and Honeybag Tor.
