Stow Bridge is part of the parish of Stow Bardolph. The sign takes the form of a horseshoe. At the top is Stow Bridge from which the village gets its name. In the remaining four quarters is the windpump, a man and horse ploughing, both these are standing on what was the old Lynn & Ely Railway line which still runs through the village and has done continually since 1847. Below is a “K” within a circle which I think is another reference to the Lynn & Ely Railway. Then a blacksmith working at his anvil. A pair of crossed keys just before the name refer to St. Peter’s church on West Head Road.
