The sign shows St Catherine with her wheel, King Cnut and the head of St Benet’s Abbey. According to the explanatory plaque (wouldn’t it be nice if they all had one?) “In 1019. King Canute gave the manor of Ludham to the Abbey of St Benet at Holme. St Catherine, whose emblem is a wheel, is the patron Saint of the parish church.” https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6658875
