Following privatisation in 1986, Lincoln City Transport experimented with a 'Limo' service using London-style taxi cabs. These did in fact run to a timetable in specific areas with a level of demand-response as far as the actual route was concerned. One is seen here in Hykeham Road on a sunny February day in 1987. This is one of a series of views featuring buses in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. http://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=2114547&displayclass=slide
