This is the 7½ miles stone from the early 19C Aberdeen to Port Elphinstone Canal. This is a rear view taken from the garden of 17 Fetach Walk in Dyce. It was not visible from the street. Port Elphinstone is on the south side of the River Don near Inverurie. The canla only operated for about 40 years before the coming of the railways.
