Opened in 1910 as "Squirrels Heath & Gidea Park" by the Great Eastern Railway on its line from London Liverpool Street to Shenfield, the name order was reversed in 1913, finally becoming just "Gidea Park" in 1969. View south west towards Romford and London. New platform railings and Transport for London signs have appeared since Image was taken from a similar position some 8 years earlier.
