Clearly a tree that has died or had to be felled after damage high up, this stump remains three or fuor metres high and has been well carved into the figures of a cat, an owl and a fox (not to the same scale). The cat's head stands sufficiently far out that it must surely be evidence of where a large branch formerly diverged from the trunk.
