A new artwork ‘Emperor’s Garden’ designed by Lydia Meiying displayed on a digital screen on the façade of the Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art (CFCCA) at the old market buildings on Thomas Street. Inspired by traditional Chinese design, Emperor’s Garden depicts the mythical and powerful creature, the Phoenix, or Fenghuang. A symbol of eternity and foreverness, this repeated pattern portrays the elegant bird dancing forever amongst the foliage.
